How will I be tested?
- The Level 2 Exam is 50 multiple choice questions (closed book) to be completed in 60 minutes

To pass you must correctly answer 55% of the question, and you are awarded Merits above 70% and Distinctions above 85%

Results are usually issued by WSET, 3-4 weeks after the exam date.
The mark allocation is:
- Environment and Grape Growing = 5 marks, 10% of the marks in the exam
- Winemaking and Bottle Ageing = 4 marks, 8% of the marks in the exam
- Factors influencing style and quality = 19 marks, 38% of the marks in the exam
- Regionally Important Grape Varieties = 12 marks, 24% of the marks in exam
- Sparkling and Fortified Wines = 6 marks, 12% of the marks in the exam
- Storage and Service of Wine = 4 marks, 8% of the marks in the exam
How does the Online Exam Work?
- The Level 2 Exam is 50 multiple choice questions (closed book) to be completed in 60 minutes, the pass mark is 55%, For a Merit grade above 70%, for a Distinction grade above 85%.

Results are usually issued by WSET, 3-4 weeks after the exam date.

Exams are sat online at a date and time to suit you using the WSET Remote Invigilation program (subject to certain restrictions around UK/US public holidays).

You will need to have access to a webcam enabled laptop/PC plus an additional mobile device to which you will need to download an APP. Please see link below.
